Deeply Rooted

ree

Last week, I was hiking in the mountains of Colorado. The roots of this tree grabbed my attention. A mighty tree requires mighty roots.

Sometimes the roots get uprooted, but they continue to look for deep.

My prayer is that we are deeply rooted and grounded in the love of Christ. It is our foundation and our stability through the seasons.

Grow deep, daughter of God! 💕

I have thought, when my roots were uncomfortable or exposed was an indication of wrong. This picture and concept bring a different perspective for me to understand that God is about the mighty oak being rooted well IN the circumstances.

Connected to the Rock

ree

Even in environments that seem impossible to grow, life is there… when we look for it. I’ve been in Colorado for the past week, enjoying cooler temps and mountains.

It’s a nice break, but I look forward to returning home and to the life God has given me.

Today, I write this to the woman who feels it’s just her and God. She feels like an unseen tiny plant, clinging to the Rock of Jesus.

Sister, keep growing. Keep hanging on in the place you’re planted.

Aww this is a sweet reminder that no matter how isolated or withered I feel, my roots are deeply embedded in Christ the solid rock.

Mighty Oaks of Righteousness

This Bonsai is 373 years old - Wow! Read my recent blog about realizing how I become “bonsai-ed” into falling way short of my purpose. I’d love to hear about your experience…

Clothed in Christ! 👗

ree

This morning, I wrote this note to a friend. I invite you to read it and walk today in all God has clothed YOU with!

We have a choice to cloak ourselves in misery, anxiety, fear, shame… or trade those things that wrap our shoulders for the garments God has already purchased and hang in our closet. (Look up the verses and see all the clothes He bought for you!) 🥰

Today, pick out the dress from the closet of His dearly loved daughter. Wear that garment all day! 👗

These are such encouraging and powerful words, Michelle. Sometimes life is so hard and dark that it’s difficult to remember that we can still choose to praise God. I’m going to remember this sweet note to Sandy (and of course, all the sweet words in Scripture) that remind me to praise the Lord in good times and bad.
