God’s message stirs deep emotion in Moses, in the Israelites, and even in Pharoah. These messages echo the questions we wrestle with today. In our uncertainty, we look to God and question what is happening. In His mercy, God responds with compassion and truth.
Exodus Podcast Episodes 21–30 bring clarity to the tension between oppression and freedom. They challenge you to believe in the great I AM.
Moses asks, “What if?”
When God gives direction, Moses asks honest questions. His "what if’s” reveal fear, uncertainty, and hesitation—things we all understand. God meets him there with truth. Moses’ years as a shepherd have been preparation for Moses to be the leader God will use for His purpose of freedom.
A simple message: God prepares you long before He calls you.
God responds, “What’s in Your Hand?”
God’s response to Moses is unexpected. What seems ordinary–even foolish–becomes a powerful tool when surrendered to God. Through his encounter, Moses begins to learn to follow God completely, even when it doesn’t make sense.
A simple message: God invites us to use what we already have.
God invites Moses to believe.
Moses faces his fears and names his limitations. He questions his ability, his voice, and his worth. God shows His power and gives signs for Moses to carry with him as he returns to Egypt. God reminds him: I am the One who has called you, equipped you, and empowered you.
A simple message: You have all you need because God is with you.
God doesn’t send Moses alone.
He tasks Aaron to help him. As Moses begins the journey into Egypt–back to the place he came from–he encounters unexpected responses from his wife and the people.
A simple message: God provides people to walk with you.
Five elements of oppression.
These episodes highlight an environment of oppression. Walk through each one that we see Pharoah demonstrate. They help us recognize spiritual or physical bondage in our own lives.
A simple message: God hears your desire to be free.
Things fall apart.
As hope begins to grow, life gets harder for God’s people. Their burden increases and they turn against Moses. We see a very real conversation between Moses and God. Unlike Pharoah, God responds with patience, not punishment.
A simple message: The path to freedom is often harder before it becomes clear.
God reveals who He is. In Moses’ frustration, God reveals Himself in a new way. He invites Moses to know Him as Yahweh, the great I AM. His presence becomes the anchor in the chaos.
A simple message: Who God is changes everything.
Episodes 21-30 of the Exodus series call us to see God more clearly, trust Him more deeply, and keep moving forward–even in the unknown, the scary, and in the swirling. God is not distant. He is present. He is powerful. He is faithful.
Walk with us through Exodus. Leave bondage. Walk in trust.
